Three More Purses... what's new?

This cute purse is to be given away in my monthly drawing.
This is my latest "Little Princess" handbag. I'd think about giving it to Joscelyn, but she likes a purse one time, then throws it into the toybox, and hauls around some ugly skaggy purse instead.

This BLUE handbag is SOLD! These twins are the newest addition to The Gluten Gal collection - Larraine's Handbags. I am currently trying to decided which purse might be in my monthly free drawing. Joscelyn likes these two, plus a yellow one further down in a post that's similar, but yellow. Hope you've enjoyed browsing... I am HAPPY to say that I got PAID today for three handbags! That means these are going... going... and you'd better hurry to pick out your favorite, since I'll be hauling them to the Farmer's Market at the Utah Botanical Center this Thursday night. I'd sure love to have you stop by! Check out this link to the market!

One More!

I see I missed this one!

Today's Fun

Today I found out about the farmer's market held every Thursday at Utah Botanical Center - just about 5 miles from me. Thanks to some help from my big sis, I dedided to go for it! We'll go tomorrow and find out what it's like, and then I'll plan the next few weeks.

These (up) little aprons are like the one Joscelyn took over, and she wants these too!
I made two more sets of "Mommy & Me" apron sets to sell.

This patriotic handbag is SOLD! And here's a few more purses. Do you like my random picture posting on here? Well, it's really for me, so I can remember them when they're gone! These purses have been SO MUCH FUN making!

Seven Purses from my Late Night

I feel like a kid in a candy store, with so many
dishtowels, handles and embellishments!
This greenish blue striped handbag is SOLD!

This "Little Princess" purple/pink/blue handbag is SOLD!

I KNEW Joscelyn would have to have this purse! She started out with a green one that she demanded, in a very princessy way. She took her green purse to Wal-Mart one night and kept asking me, “Do people think I look cool?” but hasn’t used the green purse since. When she saw me putting these dishtowels and embellishment together, my little princess demanded I give her the new one! I told her she’d have to sell her green one. She ran to her toy box, found the purse and dumped it upside down, shaking all of her items out of the purse and pockets. She’s loving her new purple & pink one! (She’s also wearing her dollar store “princess dress,” that she’s worn every day since I bought it!)

I friend of mine gave me this CUTE video - about shopping bags! Yes yes yes... I DON'T NEED A BAG!

(Shameless plug for my recycled t-shirt shopping bags!)

Recycled T-Shirt Shopping Bags

These Rocker Shopping Bags are SOLD!
This set is made from retro-rock t-shirts. These would be fun as a group, but just one bag would help so much! Besides, being seen carrying one of these would definitely make you look COOL!
Works as a tote, but is GREAT for "green" grocery shopping! Wanna help clean up our earth?

Yesterday my sister gave me a gift. (The blue bag.) Her sister-in-law sent her this cute "green" recycled t-shirt bag, for grocery shopping. I used it today to carry my things I needed to teach my lesson, then used it to carry the milk, bread, popcorn and honey I bought at the grocery store.

I decided to make more of them, since I've really wanted some cloth bags to use when shopping. Did you know that it takes the same amount of petroleum to make 14 plastic grocery sacks, as it does to drive a car for one mile?

I love this idea, and so I'm creating more... if you're feeling "green," or wanting to contribute to keeping our earth a clean and happy place... I would love to sew some recycled t-shirt bags for you! Just email me at glutengal (a) gmail.com. (Or email me anywhere else if you know me - or saying "Hey you" works quite well too.)

Purses and Prices

Who wouldn't love a cute summery purse??? If you don't sew or are too lazy, just ask me! You'll get to chose from blue, green or yellow, and your embellishment will be unique! If you know me, send me a text, and email, or see me in person. I promise not to bite!

You can also email me at glutengal (at) gmail.com

- and we'll make arrangements for exactly what you'd like, your payment and shipping. I PROMISE not to charge you EXTRA, like other companies that make money on their price of shipping! I know the value of a cheap padded envelope mailer!

Now THESE may look pretty strange. They were designed as a violin bag - long story, but I'm sure there would be other uses for them. Swim bag anyone? These do take a bit more fabric, so the sale price is $25.
Once again - if you're interested in a purse or a funny bag ;) - email me at
glutengal (at) gmail.com

There's more to me! (Dishtowel Purses!)

The yellow purse with the white flower is SOLD!

I have been working hard on a website that allows me to give out information about Celiac Disease and other things that require eating a Gluten-Free diet. This also includes recipes, and things for special kids who need to eat both Gluten-Free & Casein-Free. http://www.theglutengal.com

I want a place that I can express myself in other ways, whether it's my latest crafty trend, or something personal about my family.

The blue purse is SOLD! The green purse with the green embellishment is SOLD!I am currently trying to make some extra bucks to get my dishtowel designs ready to sell - on my other site - http://www.theglutengal.com, so I've been making dishtowel purses for people who don't sew! The ones I've sewn so far have turned out really cute! I like making them in blue, green and yellow, and I've added unique embellishments - for adults or for kids/the young at heart!

I am offering these purses for $20 plus postage. Each purse will be unique.
